Privacy Policy

Effective July 3, 2025 — Last updated July 3, 2025

Bindly (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use our wedding contract review service at usebindly.com.

Information we collect

Personal information. When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, and payment information. Payment is processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers.

Contract documents. You upload vendor contracts for us to review. These documents may contain your event details, vendor names and pricing, and other personal information.

Technical information. We collect standard web analytics data — IP address, browser type, and page usage — to operate and improve the site.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide your contract review and deliver the report
  • Process payment and send order confirmations
  • Schedule strategy calls (Essential and Complete packages)
  • Respond to questions and support requests
  • Improve our service and website
  • Comply with legal obligations

Who reads your contracts

Your contracts are read by Shawn Tretter personally. We do not share your documents with third parties for review purposes. We use Google Cloud Platform for encrypted storage and Stripe for payment processing — both operate under their own privacy policies and do not have access to your contract content for any purpose other than storage and payment processing respectively.

Data security

We use HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmission and secure, access-controlled cloud storage for your documents. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but we use industry-standard protections and limit access to your files to the people who need them to complete your review.

Data retention

We retain your personal information and contract documents for as long as necessary to provide our services, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and maintain appropriate business records. For specific questions about how long we retain particular types of information, contact us at [email protected].

Information sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers — Stripe (payments), Google Cloud (storage), and email providers, under confidentiality agreements
  • Legal requirements — If required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights
  • Business transfers — In connection with a merger or sale of the business, with appropriate privacy protections in place

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email [email protected].

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of your information (we do not sell it). You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

EU/UK residents (GDPR). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Cookies

We use cookies for basic site functionality and analytics. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though this may affect how the site works for you.

Children’s privacy

Our service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
